Downtown living in a setting of natural beauty

Situated in the heart of downtown Burlington, on the eastern shore of Lake Champlain, the Historic Vermont House allows residents to enjoy the convenience and pleasure of city living while offering breathtaking views of Lake Champlain and the Adirondack Mountains to the west, and the Green Mountains to the east.

The Historic Vermont House circa 1911

The elegant brick building was constructed in 1910-11 as the Hotel Vermont, the state’s largest and most prestigious hotel. With eight stories, plus basement, the old hotel is today 58 condominiums and 9 commercial spaces. The condominiums range from studios to one- and two-bedroom units.

The building retains much of its splendor, featuring a granite-columned entrance; a foyer with secure entry; an expansive lobby; a new (2007) elevator; a state-of-the-art communal laundry room; limited extra storage space (on first-come, first-served basis); and a parking garage on nearby King Street.
